Kristen Plati is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Perth, Australia, but established in New York City. Her songs are a musical journey through heartache, love and loss, while her stage presence and personality captivate the audience.

To start at the beginning - Kristen started singing lessons at the young age of 5, and began performing not long after that. Through the years, Kristen performed at shows, concerts and competitions around Perth, gaining acclaim and experience in the industry. After graduating High School, Kristen attended the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), completing an Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Voice and a Certificate II in Musical Theatre in her 3 years there. Following the completion of WAAPA, Kristen was unsure of her future in music – being torn between Musical Theatre and Contemporary Music, with a passion for both. Kristen moved to New York in the winter of 2013 to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she got her Associates Degree in Acting.

 

Kristen adapted well to New York City life, and the daily grind became a thrill for her. Following a few hard years in the city, Kristen began to find herself and with that, she found her sound- pop/Soul. Having played numerous instruments, Kristen sat down in front of her piano and found herself writing songs. She would sit at the piano and pour her heart into the lyrics and melodies she was creating. And so, Kristen Plati was born, in a musical sense. Since then, Kristen has continued to develop her songwriting skills and you can hear her music out now on all platforms.

Kristen’s music is a documentation of her journey of self-discovery through love, loss, heartbreak and finding herself and her confidence. Her relatable lyrics and powerful vocals captivate listeners and catapult you into her stories as you listen. Her style has been likened to Adele, Tori Kelly and Sara Bareilles. Her music can be heard in National Commercials, and on Tv shows like Netflix's "Selling Tampa" and Bravo's "Real Housewives of Dubai".

ACTRESS

Kristen most recently starred in the Bravo TV series, Your Husband Is Cheating On Us, which aired in 2018. She also starred in a national commercial for Dia and Co. Kristen has been in several Off-Broadway shows, debuting a solo show at the Triad Theatre on the Upper West Side in 2019, as well as performing at the Minetta Lane Theatre and BB Kings in New York City. Starting in the theatre at a young age, she has performed in shows such as Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, The Women of Lockerbie and Orpheus in the Underworld.

Kristen has also been involved in numerous short films and webseries’ since her migration to the United States. You can frequently see her on TELEMAZING where she was a regular panelist.

Kristen is signed to TRUE Model Management in New York City. She has ample modeling experience, modeling for companies such as Macys, ThickWave, Dia and Co, Target, Sears, Overstock.com and Boscovs.
